I am retiring for a couple of months to focus on my sleep : The term ends!

Hello everybody. Today is a beautiful day for obvious reasons. The term is ending. FINALLY!!!! I am so happy I cannot act like I'm not.

Thinking of all the courses I have taken this term, Mustafa Hoca's ICT and Material Design in ELT was one of my two favorites (the other being Linguistics). I attended most of the classes and curiously followed the class because I wanted to learn more things about the integration of technology into English classrooms. I had so much fun during almost all of the tasks. My favorites are the digital storytelling project, podcast, and collaborative writing task which we talked about the movie Toc Toc. I can even say that most of the tasks brought about group or pair activities and I think it helped me consolidate my relationships with my friends, too.

To be honest I had the 101 education on the integration of technology in English teaching and this course was such a relief. Since we live in a technology age and day by day our techniques require change. I discovered so many tools, sites and programs that are so easy to use and enjoyable too. Technology in classroom is not Kahoot or Padlet only, there are many many more to be discovered. Once the joy of technology usage in the classroom is acknowledged by the students, the whole process will be a great experience for them.

I think this course and courses that teach modern teaching to us, future teachers, are so important. Because now we are both teachers and students who in 2-3 years of time will start teaching to our own students. I'm very excited for sure.
